TB6090-MZ07A - Tomei Expreme Ti Titanium Exaust System - Mazda RX-8 Early Model S1 (2003-2008)

TOMEI Powered USA is proud to announce the launch of a brand-new full titanium exhaust system specifically designed for the Mazda RX-8 (SE3P).

Even after two decades, the RX-8 continues to captivate enthusiasts with its unique rotary appeal. Our latest offering, crafted under the TOMEI name, is a tribute to that legacy—engineered with modern materials and expertise, and fueled by our unwavering passion for rotary performance.

This release is more than just a new product. It’s a reflection on the true value of the RX-8 and a renewed appreciation for what this car represents in automotive history.
A Rotary Sports Car Mazda Refused to Let Die
In 2003, Mazda introduced the RX-8 (SE3P) after years of dedicated development—driven by a firm belief that the rotary engine must live on.

While the previous-generation RX-7 (FD3S) earned global acclaim in the 1990s, evolving emissions regulations, fuel efficiency demands, and economic shifts made it increasingly difficult to produce. Yet inside Mazda, the rotary spirit endured. The RX-8 was not just a successor—it redefined the rotary sports car as something that could be shared, experienced, and enjoyed by four.
Redefining Sports Car Engineering
The RX-8’s most iconic design feature—its freestyle rear-hinged doors—offered a distinctive silhouette and unmatched accessibility. Its power came from the 13B-MSP (RENESIS):
  • Water-cooled, naturally aspirated two-rotor rotary engine
  • “MSP” = Multi Side Port
  • A next-generation layout for emissions compliance and fuel economy
This engine preserved the high-revving characteristics rotary fans love, while meeting the needs of a new era in drivability and environmental responsibility.
The Surprising Sales Story
While the FD RX-7 is often more iconic, the RX-8 achieved far greater commercial success:
  • RX-7 (FD3S): ~70,000 units globally
  • RX-8: ~190,000 units globally
With room for four, everyday usability, and improved efficiency, the RX-8 broadened the scope of rotary performance—and proved that innovation could still excite.
Why Now is the Time to Revisit the RX-8
Although the RX-7 has enjoyed a renewed surge in popularity, the RX-8 remains overlooked. But we believe it deserves a second look—for all the right reasons:
  • A naturally aspirated rotary that loves to rev
  • A tight, lightweight 6-speed manual gearbox
  • A highly rigid and responsive chassis
The RX-8 delivers pure driving joy that can still rival modern sports cars.
The Titanium Touch — Brought to You by TOMEI
This new full titanium exhaust system, proudly developed and released under the TOMEI name, enhances everything that makes the RX-8 special. Built with today’s technology, it celebrates the car’s 20-year legacy with performance that elevates the experience.

Highlights include:
  • Dramatic weight savings (OEM: ~18kg → TOMEI: 5.7kg)
  • Increased exhaust diameter (60mm → 80.5mm) for optimal flow
  • Lightweight, thin-wall titanium construction for strength, sound, and durability

The result: sharper throttle response, a freer-revving engine, and a distinctively resonant rotary sound.
Singular Focus — Why We Chose a Single-Exit Design
Rather than chasing trends, we chose purpose. The TOMEI RX-8 exhaust features a single-exit layout for performance-oriented reasons:
  • Lighter than a dual-exit system
  • Straighter exhaust flow for cleaner acoustics
  • Tuned specifically for the rotary’s high-revving characteristics
This design is also a tribute to Mazda’s engineers—a quiet dialogue among creators who understand what matters most.
Reignite the RX-8 Spirit
Rotary-powered vehicles are becoming increasingly rare—but that rarity only enhances their value. At TOMEI USA, we believe the RX-8 still has a story to tell and joy to deliver.

This titanium exhaust isn’t just a product—it’s a symbol of commitment to rotary enthusiasts everywhere.
Looking Ahead
TOMEI USA will continue to support RX-8 drivers with:
  • Future product development
  • Enhanced performance innovations
  • Focus on weight reduction and durability
Have a great rotary day. — TOMEI Powered USA
