TOMEI Technical Trax Advance 2-Way LSD Pro Kit

Developed for the Nissan 350Z, 370Z, and 400Z / RZ34 with 6-speed manual transmission, this PRO KIT combines TOMEI's aggressive 2-way mechanical limited-slip differential with a 3.916 final drive gear set. It is engineered to improve rear traction, corner-exit acceleration, straight-line stability, and driver control during circuit driving, drifting, winding-road use, and aggressive sports driving.

Why Upgrade the LSD?

The Nissan Z platform has exceptional rear-wheel-drive performance potential, but differential behavior is critical to putting power down. Sport RWD 400Z / RZ34 models use an open differential, which can allow one rear tire to spin during acceleration or corner exit. Performance, Heritage Edition, and NISMO RWD models use a factory mechanical LSD, but its mild tuning prioritizes daily drivability and quiet operation.

The TOMEI Technical Trax Advance LSD firmly transfers driving force to both rear tires. The result is stronger rear grip on corner exit, improved acceleration, better straight-line stability, more direct rear contact feel, and greater confidence on circuits, during drifting, and on winding roads.

2-Way Characteristics

A 2-way LSD provides strong operation during both acceleration and deceleration, allowing the driver to actively control rear-vehicle posture. It is recommended for drifting, circuit driving, and aggressive sports driving. A 1.5-way unit is generally easier to control on deceleration and is better suited to street, winding-road, circuit, and grip-focused use.

PRO KIT 3.916 Final Drive

The factory final-drive ratio for the 400Z / RZ34 6MT is 3.538, a mild ratio selected with highway cruising, fuel economy, and noise in mind. The included 3.916 final-drive gear set is approximately 10% shorter, improving acceleration feel, response, shift feel, and the connection between second and third gear.
